Getting an Invite to Tesla Investor Day

Yeah, processing of the pdfs seems very slow. -Crissa

Getting an Invite to Tesla Investor Day

Yeah, but they don't know who's an investor, exactly. And I would prefer a system that makes sure media can attend if they want to, like Rob Maurer, 'cause then we all get good pictures back. ?‍♀️ -Crissa

Getting an Invite to Tesla Investor Day

If you don't have the shares in a compatible account, it's kind of a pain where they ask you for permissions they shouldn't have. They being the verification service Tesla is using. -Crissa

Tesla Dealership/Service coming to San Luis Obispo, California

The laws in California do not treat franchisees different than corporate owned stores. There was a lawsuit about it back in the 80s or 90s. Federal law requires them be treated the same as well, but only for federal law. Each state does it differently. -Crissa

    Bought TSLA stock today

Many public companies do so. Being public doesn't change that. It just means that if you do it and endanger the company, you'll get sued. -Crissa

Subsidies in exchange for charger access+CCS standard?

Carrots work better than sticks. Bonuses better than penalties. Even if they're mechanically the same. -Crissa

Article: It's becoming increasingly clear Tesla is just another car company -- agree / disagree?

...Because they have trade secret processes involved in robot programming and use? It means people think the process is worth money to know. You just said you didn't think their application of robots was notable. This makes it notable. I didn't say other companies didn't have robot trade...

Article: It's becoming increasingly clear Tesla is just another car company -- agree / disagree?

Not everyone programs their robots themselves? It's currently a trade secret how Tesla manages to aim their robots because they don't add obvious alignment marks on their parts and casts. -Crissa

Master Plan 3 Coming March 1 on Investor Day

Maybe, he said, if they have the battery supply. Gen 3 is Model 3/Y and they have yet to implement all the tech they planned in the beginning. Even most Model Ys coming from Austin don't have 4680 packs yet. They're Model Y frames in the holding rack. -Crissa

Article: It's becoming increasingly clear Tesla is just another car company -- agree / disagree?

Cumulative? Toyota's total profits last year were about what Tesla's were. Despite selling many times more cars. Hyundai or Mitsubishi can say they not just another car company because a large portion of their revenue come from heavy or light machinery. But, there are other companies like...

Master Plan 3 Coming March 1 on Investor Day

I don't think we'll see a new vehicle. I think we'll see the refinement of the Model Y and then maybe project highland. -Crissa

Article: It's becoming increasingly clear Tesla is just another car company -- agree / disagree?

No. Literally pointing out some single example why they're not like the rest of carmakers is all I need to prove my point. You haven't really countered this, either. So, how about I cherry-pick that they're undergoing the greatest growth of any automaker? Unseen since Ford was basically...

Article: It's becoming increasingly clear Tesla is just another car company -- agree / disagree?

It's not 'just another car company' when it's the most profitable per car. Give them time to leverage their technology. They've only been shipping Autopilot for hardly a decade yet. -Crissa

Article: It's becoming increasingly clear Tesla is just another car company -- agree / disagree?

Tesla is still the most profitable, per car delivered, of any carmaker. It's also the one increasing its units build/sold the most. And the only one with structural batteries. Also the only one with in-house cell production, one of the few with in-house battery production... And Panasonic may...

Elon Musk was reportedly cleared by a federal jury's verdict that his 'funding secured' tweet in 2018 didn't harm Tesla

Hence saying he had a buyer before he actually had them on the hook being something the SEC really doesn't want CEOs to do. That I can understand. The civil case, though, hinged upon damage, which, well, were going to be hard to prove. I don't know why the judge allowed it to go this far...

Elon Musk was reportedly cleared by a federal jury's verdict that his 'funding secured' tweet in 2018 didn't harm Tesla

The profit motive of 'his company doesn't get bought out by a predatory investor' is usually enough. -Crissa
