Article: It's becoming increasingly clear Tesla is just another car company -- agree / disagree?

Sort of like Apple was just another computer company. Companies that disrupt industries don’t necessarily look all that different from their peers on the surface.

    Bought TSLA stock today

Seems like today was a bottom. We bounced off resistance all day long and are finishing at a high on significant volume.

    Bought TSLA stock today

Seems like this strategy is not going to work. Personally, every time I’ve tried to time the bottom of a stock I end up with a bunch of cash in hand and no stock. Tesla is very near the bottom and shows ever sign it’s going to resist $100 hard.

Meanwhile in China. Tesla HQ looks like Apple stores back in the day with lines going around the block.

Tesla pricing has been ridiculously high for most of 2022. Musk has said as much. He’s also pointed out they will be coming down in other calls. I’m not sure why people act like this is at all surprising. “They are losing pricing power!!”, sounds so much scarier than they are restoring prices...

Why is Tesla in the lead in for the article. Two adults survive Tesla plunges 250 feet off California Cliff?

Ooo… I’ve been wanting to ride the Elkhorns for some time, a reliable source suggests it’s one of the best trails in the state. Easy sell to my wife since the hotel in Baker is supposed to be haunted and my wife loves that stuff.

Why is Tesla in the lead in for the article. Two adults survive Tesla plunges 250 feet off California Cliff?

I don’t know, I’ve driven the PCH from LA to the very north most corner of California. I have to say the Oregon Coast is probably better per square mile, but perhaps not as good overall. I’ll have to take some time when I get my Cybertruck and compare them.

Can't Tesla fund their own loans? (high interest, demand impact, etc)

Yeah, it’s a neat idea until it actually costs you cash. Filed under “Why we can’t have nice things” thank you very much Verizon and Comcast.

Why is Tesla in the lead in for the article. Two adults survive Tesla plunges 250 feet off California Cliff?

All the headlines said was “Tesla falls off cliff, everyone ok” over the weekend. All the Wall Street analysts saw “TSLA Falls off Cliff!!!, SELL!!!!”

    Bought TSLA stock today

It’s a push. When the SP is on the rise, shorts want to get out and need to buy shares to cover. Right now short interest in Tesla is absolutely massive. When the SP starts to move, momentum will pick up. Also, while a few people will be dumping shares to break even, lots of anticipation...

Can't Tesla fund their own loans? (high interest, demand impact, etc)

California and a few other states are under the old setup where they are just reselling insurance, but they started underwriting their own insurance back in March. Most states operate under this new structure. California is likely to remain under the old scheme because they can’t use the FSD...

Can't Tesla fund their own loans? (high interest, demand impact, etc)

This is a really good point. Pretty sure the initial impetus was because insurance companies were shafting owners. Then when they got into it they realized they had more information than the insurance companies did and could use that to reduce costs and profits even more.

I want to get out of Bitcoin and buy TSLA stock....easiest way?

Sell the bitcoin. Put the money into your brokerage account, buy TSLA. I’m not sure which bit is troubling you so can’t really say. I know little to nothing about Bitcoin so can’t say too much about selling it. Setting up a brokerage account online is fairly straightforward, though sound like...

    Bought TSLA stock today

Much of the industry is at 52 week lows or near them. Tesla didn’t push Apple, Amazon, Netflix, or Rivian to their 52 week lows. The whole market got thrashed.

Can't Tesla fund their own loans? (high interest, demand impact, etc)

Certainly. Particularly when the product in question has never been produced like the 9k Ton Gigapress. Which likely brings another concern up. Tesla likes to learn and evolve based on past performance. It’s hard to do that if you jump ahead of yourself. Finish GT and GB, and build the next 2-3...

Can't Tesla fund their own loans? (high interest, demand impact, etc)

Musk does not complain about staff quality, just the reverse. But he does often say things like “If you have XZY talent, we are hiring”. My comment was largely an assumption. Tesla has $22 billion in the bank, why aren’t they building 4 more gigafactories? It’s clearly not a money issue so...
