Picking Up the CT in Drag?

Many, twenty years ago those were so hard to make! ...And now you can get them ordered online? x-x My cosplay days at Comic-Con would've been sooo much easier. -Crissa

    EVs are dead

Helium's in the news recently, too. https://www.politico.com/newsletters/politico-pulse/2024/01/26/health-cares-rising-helium-fears-00137989# It's a non-renewable resource. Anyhow, it's interesting how all these things interact! Helium is hard to store, too. -Crissa

    A REAL Work Truck

I'm actually kinda surprised at how poor the range is for having so much battery. But most work trucks don't actually go very far each shift. -Crissa

    Cyber New Year!

Here's to a new year of shiny truck watching. I drove for twelve hours toda... err yesterday. Still haven't seen a Cybertruck in the wild. And if I were driving the truck on this trip I'd have stopped as often and only had at least one more charging stop than my 500+ mile range Mazda. -Crissa

Tesla blamed drivers for failures of parts it long knew were defective

The article fails to find a baseline for complaints. Is this a high rate of complaints or low? Does this failure happen at a static rate over the fleet age, or is it all up front? They don't say. Which means we don't know anything other than anecdotes. Which means the Reuters article...

    Tax Discount ?

If you made $50k, you generally 'owe' $7500 in Federal taxes. It doesn't matter if you paid them along the way - filing taxes is how we settle out the year between the actual amount owed and the amount paid. Which is why people get refunds. -Crissa

Copycats already! Video uses CGI to put Tesla into video, clickbait article claims...

There's a reason I have JBee blocked usually. ?‍♀️ Saying you can do a thing it literally not saying you plan to do the thing. "Oh yes, I could run this conversation into the ground." -JBee, probably. "So you planned to run this conversation into the ground?" - me, definitely. -Crissa

    Model Y anyone?

Tesla took 4 years to get to the millionth Model 3, two and a half years to get to the millionth Model Y. Give the, time, they'll get there if there's demand. And you'll probably get served sometime in 2025 anyhow, if you pay attention to the forum. -Crissa

Tesla Prepares To Turn Heated Front Seats and Wipers Into Paid Features

Some toll devices give a discount for the number of passengers. EZ Pass in California does this; it's got a little slider on it. 2 passengers gets a discount, 3 passengers gets it free, usually. A motorcycle counts as three. -Crissa

Musk should buy Ramaco. This changes everything.

Dude, they don't disclose it directly, but we know what they sell and the resulting chemistry. Articles that use Tesla's name and aren't direct examinations of their product are not going to be good sources in general. These metals, while rare in their metallic form, are not actually rare. As...

Tesla Prepares To Turn Heated Front Seats and Wipers Into Paid Features

Fixed it for you, @HaulingAss . Heated surfaces provide more comfort with less energy expense than general cabin heating. In other words, more range. -Crissa PS, I hope you know I thumbs up nearly all of your posts, despite our argument last week.

Well, there's no evidence they're doing it as an ongoing subscription. That's just the writer's take. -Crissa
