First Cybercab with side mirrors. I wonder why it needs them... Is there a regulatory requirement that self-driving vehicles still have physical side mirrors?

Those Robotaxi with mirrors (and may be a steering wheel and pedals) might be used during validation requiring a human safety driver present?
May be later on, a single passenger could be also present before the Robotaxi full autonomy release?
