  1. Trailer towing Rivian test, range and regen resulting in Rockies

Been doing this kind of management on my 4runner pulling a nearly 5,000 RV trailer. I might have to do the same on Cybertruck to extend range or be more efficient.
  2. Trailer towing Rivian test, range and regen resulting in Rockies

I'm one of those waiting for the numbers as my CT will be mainly towing an RV trailer. But if the range in cut in more than half by the tow, I'm willing to shift to camper trailer.
  3. Starlink satellite launch

Not that I'll be beating a path to their door with this superfast connection, but it is still silent on coverage (and promise of saturating the earth). And this is damn pricey even with the assurance handling bad whether well.
  4. Starlink satellite launch

Seems another of Elon's broken promises. It's supposed to have been out 2021 and "populated??? (saturated) the whole world".
  5. Starlink satellite launch

@Sirfun - you should have brought your surf board with those big waves. How's the fishing in Oxnard Fishing Harbor?
  6. Starlink satellite launch

I'm repeating myself here. But unless Starlink can beam itself directly into your antenna and not rely on some earth-bound cell sites, it's nearly next to useless for me (I want to be able to do my computer dependent side-gig from out of the grid area while boondocking). And of course, my...
  7. LED Failure?

I have a cheap China-made light bar on the roof of my truck. it suffered more than enough abuse from searing sun, rain, snow and sleet. It even got pounded when I load up lumber on my roof rack. It is still going strong it's 4 years. That could be an open led strip similar to what I have...
  8. Cummins-Powered Isuzu Electric Truck To Start US Trials In 2022

Isuzu and Cummins in one sentence would already make me choke in dirty polluted air and black smoke.
  9. How many shares of Tesla do you own?

It's not either/or -- buy them all. The FAANGs, Tesla and Ford too. It's not called growth stocks for nothing. And they will dominate in the next decades. All humanity's progress and advances will be from the offshoot of hii-tech.
  10. Tesla applies for a new trademark to sell its own audio equipment, like headphones and more

This must be a new revenue stream to leverage Tesla brand. Even cheap headphones and speakers are already way good. It fetch the higher price though if it got the "brand".
  11. Bloomberg CityLab: What Happened to Pickup Trucks?

I work at an office, I don't have big truck and I have an extremely happy wife. So there must be a strong correlation there somewhere.:p:p
  12. How many shares of Tesla do you own?

My Canadian brother, a software engineer, is a true believer. He said the true future of Tesla is it's global accumulated driving data base and a perfected autopilot software which they can monetize. Hence, the ad nauseam debate among stock analyst as to whether to classify Tesla as a tech...
  13. Bloomberg CityLab: What Happened to Pickup Trucks?

Same way I can guess yours, if you have a very unhappy wife. :p
  14. Bloomberg CityLab: What Happened to Pickup Trucks?

As my friends used to joke our ridiculously yuge truck owning buddy. And he is an office worker. The size of his truck is inversely proportional to the size of his manhood..
  15. How many shares of Tesla do you own?

Been owning and trading Tesla stocks since that I will be able to pay for my Cybertruck in cash should their rates on my purchase is off to my liking. Now I'm with the group of stockholders who is voting for Elon to stop yapping and just build the damn trucks -- and stop being #ApartheidElon...
  16. Popular Mechanics: Does Anyone Even Want an Electric Car?

For the information revolution in our midst, Americans are still too lazy or too dumb to look and see the calculations of the comparative cost of ownership. And the fact that EV ownership is also politicized.
  17. EVs don't need to be trailered to track day...

Probably not as I always have road assistance cover. I'm extra careful while camping and off roading but I may have to be pulled and towed in short distance in case I got stuck and have lost power/charge at the same very unfortunate time.
  18. EVs don't need to be trailered to track day...

If not trailered, how would you tow it when it defaults to being on brake when your foot is not on acceleration pedal?
  19. Tesla CEO Elon Musk mocks UAW, slams union over corruption

i'll do one over. Make worker representative sit in the board like the companies in those dang democratic socialist Nordic countries where there is virtually no poverty. Remember it was GM management that dropped the ball in their bankruptcy but it was their workers that suffered and made...
  20. EVs more patriotic than ever?

You'll get sicker with the fact that our troops with their lives on the line and our taxes are paying to patrol the Gulf for the smooth passage of Middle Eastern oil to the rest of the world. Specially now that with resolve (politics and oil interest on the way) and tech, we can achieve energy...
