FSD price increases to $15k September 5th

Yea I said recently I expect some app facility which we could use to maneuver the car to an exact spot we select on a car rendered map. Or Google maps,.. or maybe using our own phone camera/app as an extended car camera. or a follow me.... step out to where you want the car to go.

FSD price increases to $15k September 5th

Maybe hastle for those who want to add it to the Robotaxi network for a few hours. They need to ensure it is clean.. and upon its return check for any damage. And report if necessary. Very similar to an Uber driver. The star system will keep you in it or not. I want to keep it in the...

FSD price increases to $15k September 5th

What is FSD worth ? Here tis : I recall taxi license in Melbourne AU priced as AU$250,000 . I just googled and in Queensland they were once going for $500,000. Dropped dramatically due to Uber, and these days(limited google) licenses are handed over to family members. No sales. What are we...

FSD price increases to $15k September 5th

I'm convinced FSD will be the commercial version of advanced driver assist. Both the same functionality, but one is for personal use, and the other is to make money as a business. They will each be priced accordingly.. Now we have a grey area. IMO, Driver assist will be at least $15,000...

    Texas Model Y hits 1000 cars/ week

Yea.. Well said.. I didnt want to come across nasty,,, there is commercial motivation forming some seemingly genuine opinions IMO.

    Texas Model Y hits 1000 cars/ week

Amazing how much Tesla is underestimated, and more amazing even our most trusted YouTubers aren't all they want you to think, IMO. Even Sandy Monroe... who loves the Rivian for what it is, and keeps reiterating to all and Sundry how successful Ford will be. In a recent Video, Sandy Compared...

FSD price increases to $15k September 5th

I think driver assist may one day perform the majority of functions to be practically FSD. The price point will be mass market. FSD could be the commercial version, it will be priced as a business. I think I booked at AU$12000, now it will be almost AU$22,000. M wife was happy the other week...

    Texas Model Y hits 1000 cars/ week

Apparently, the story around that is that two Tesla Auto Managers saw the legacy Auto companies flee when they saw the Model X, (they were pulling shit uphill in comparison) and they just kept on going through the lines and towns, even though the Elon ordered his managers to stop and wait for...

Germans got the blitzkrieg going, so we know they are good at scaling quickly.

    Texas Model Y hits 1000 cars/ week

Looks like they are levelling out fast around the current car parks. The 4th press should make it half a million per year... maybe it will ramp quick from here.

    Will Rivian Make It?

Yep, Blue Origin survives. Dyson bit the bullet. I would credit acumen to both. Survival is not as easy as throwing good money at it.

    Will Rivian Make It?

They are burning through the funds they have in their savings account. If they don't show a path to volume, there will be NO fairy godmother.

    Will Rivian Make It?

If Rivian is planning to produce 25000 (a year ? ) at say 10% profit = 250 milion. By that time, they would have burned 6 BILLION at the current rate. Leaving them with 9 Billion. One and a half more years of funds before they run out by the end of 25. They have a new factory coming online...

    California to ban Tesla?

And once again .. Around every company announcement comes an impending disaster in the news.

Newly proposed EV tax credit in the US - Paid at dealerships?

Yea, can't watch them all. I have filtered out most, but remain subscribed to Rob. Like probably many here, I eat sleep Tesla, and even on Tesla Daily, I do tend to skip over a fair bit of repeated topics.

Robot Dog Teaches Itself To Walk an example of how TeslaBot might use AI

We have yet to develop general intelligence, maybe we never will. But if we do, Earth will be one planet for one AI. Good odds for AI. I think it is conceivable that AI has spawned from the very earliest advanced civilizations in the universe. And has continued to this day. If so, not too...

    Right to repair; Sustainable prioritisation

Tesla was found 1% guilty of a fatal car accident (113 mph) because it failed to enable? the speed delimiter. In light of this, are we asking Telsa to either compromise pack safety by removing the gunk or redesign it (another compromise) so it is easier for wannabee's to fry themselves.

Herbert Diess is out…Porsche took over

Agree, Diess would bean asset. Whether involved in the whole thing, or a division such as factory expansion, charging network, robot.. etc... At his age, he may not want to be CEO, but may be interested in some strategic and/or management involvement. Plug and Play.
