Jim Cramer: GM Has Nothing, It's All About Electric Vehicles

If they made the Hummer in Stainless steel it would be tempting given what you say, but it would also need to have a real 500-Mile range, a supercharging network, over the air updates, a promising autopilot, and great monitor/user interface. Oh crap, it would be a Cybertruck. I guess I’ll keep...

How many of u are holding or selling your tesla stock to buy a cybertruck on reservation day?

I also bought the stock hoping it might gain enough to pay the taxes. That was before ā€˜the wild ride’ of the past few months. Now even my buying 2 shares here and there has produced almost enough value to pay for half of the truck. So if by some miracle the stock price keeps up its climb, even...

JALOPNIK: Uber Is Here To Remind You That Autonomous Vehicles Aren't Even Close

You of all people know what I meant, that deciding what is good enough requires a baseline and a metric and threshold. I suspect that the baseline will be something like the number of accidents per 1,000,000 driven miles. I do not now whether they (who is they?) will break it out by driving type...

JALOPNIK: Uber Is Here To Remind You That Autonomous Vehicles Aren't Even Close

You are right of course, but the problem is much more impossible for human drivers. Tesla has already riven to be an order of magnitude safer than people in terms of accident rates, so the question is never going to be whether it is perfect but whether it is good enough. That is a difficult...

I'm not holding my breath. The whole thing is completely humorous and you are being a delightful chap over it.

Tesla sends out Battery Day invites to shareholders

I sent mail to Schwab and to Tesla. No one has responded yet.

Tesla sends out Battery Day invites to shareholders

I am confused now. I asked to attend the stockholders meeting in person to cast my 10 votes (!). After that Tesla announced that only a few people would be invited to attend in person and I cannot now change to vote my shares online and do not know how to vote. I cannot believe that I am the...

    5:1 Tesla stock split

There is one, but I forgot where I put the link. It evaluate charities along several metrics. I do not know if they have 'doesn't sell donor information' as an evaluation metric.

    5:1 Tesla stock split

Sadly, you are right about the reality that charities sell information [like every business], and I stopped giving to certain charities once I found out and ascertained the fact when they said they wouldn’t stop. I told them that they were giving up a lot more than they were gaining and said...

The common use of the term is for the steep part of the exponential curve and positive unless otherwise noted, but you know that...so I think you have your ā€˜nit’ basket out.

The Pickman Is a Tiny $10,000 Electric Pickup That Promises 4,000 Pounds of Towing

So it’s a street legal golf cart? 5 HP? More like a mini bike or go cart. It is hard to imagine a vehicle that has a top speed of 28 mph can be street legal since speed limits in many areas would render this vehicle a hazard to normal traffic flow. I cannot think of it seriously as is. The...

    5:1 Tesla stock split

I do not see the point in buying before the split just to get ā€˜in’ on the split. If you have 6 shares today at value $12K (or $12K/6 = $2K per share), then next Friday you will have 6*5 = 30 shares at value $12K/30 = $400 per share * 30 shares = $12K, at least until the market opens for trading...

    We’re almost at 2,000 folks.

Good for you! Hind sight is 20:20 isn't it? Back in 2016 I didn't have any money to put into Tesla and wasn't a fan. When I realized what I was/wasn't doing I bought a few shares, but just fingers and toes. Not the entire nest egg, but I was hoping the investment would go up enough to pay for...

    5:1 Tesla stock split

I agree with you, It would indeed be folly to invest one’s life savings in something as unstable (or should I say mercurial) as the U.S. stock market. That said, Tesla is the first company in a long time that I actually believe in, so that is why I put some money into it.
