U.S. Postal Service ICE/EV environmental review vs FAA/EPA of Tesla Starbase

Yep. My wife worked a rural route in and for years she drove a Saturn which we bought for that purpose. She got ~25 MPG on her ~90 mile route. Post Office forced her into one of those death-mobiles. No air conditioning in 100+ degree heat, no music, all in a metal box which didn’t have to...

    $TSLA The sell-off continues-what's wrong?

Seems like Twitter discussion gets political in a hurry too. Back on topic. Today is back green. Hopefully the rest of the week will stick to the plan.

For a heavy guy he is sure athletic. Either that or just the cocaine giving him super-human strength.

    Tesla Insurance now in Colorado

We’re in Oregon and our existing insurance isn’t due for a few months so haven’t changed yet. Our current plan with Progressive which includes a Model Y is quite reasonably priced so I can’t imagine our savings will be mind bending. I think we pay about $1600/ year right now. Tesla insurance...

2022 Shareholders Meeting announced — August 4th (Split Vote). What do you want to hear/learn?

In almost exactly 3 months. This is when shareholders will vote on whether to expand the share count to enable a split (almost certain to pass). Tesla often combines their annual meeting with other events or announcements as well. I’d like to hear them talk about their brand new 8k Ton...

    Broken threads

You aren’t the only one based on the number of old dead threads which seem to rise from the dead every week or two. More zombies than an 80s horror movie.

    Broken threads

LOL. I remember when they were called BBSs and only available via directly dialing them.

    Broken threads

I’m pretty sure this is the same platform used by almost forum I participate in. Either that or they have gotten so close in features to each other they just seem identical. I’ve seen other issues, but this one where I have multiple broken links seems to have cropped up recently.

    Broken threads

Somehow threads which were started by people on my ignore list were showing up in my feed but when I clicked them they were broken. I just un ignored some people. Seems like it didn’t work this way before.

Seems like some threads are breaking. This is the most recent one. Pops up as a link in my alerts and under latest activity but clicking it goes to a dead end...

Strong Non-Tesla EV presence at the 2022 New York International Auto Show

It was probably me! And I know I didn’t fabricate the number, I just can’t recall where I’d heard it. I dug around on this thread but didn’t see it. Perhaps someone made an assumption based on the fact that they are starting new deliveries?

@firsttruck That actually makes more sense to me. I wish I remembered where I’d seen that they were done.

Why 2022 April $TSLA sell-off ? Answer: Elon SOLD Tesla shares to help fund Twitter buy.

If there was a simply way he could do it he would. (Much like he’s priced things at 69,420 or bit 54.20 for Twitter) But you are right, something silly like 420:69 is unlikely.

Ford to build 600k EV's/yr by end of next year and has 2nd EV truck in the works

The way the regulation works, a company can time things to maximize how much rebate they get. After they hit 200k, it tapers for 2? Quarters. I think I heard they were going to run out sometime this year so they might get a couple quarters with half or a quarter of the full rebate. Of course...

Why 2022 April $TSLA sell-off ? Answer: Elon SOLD Tesla shares to help fund Twitter buy.

Knowing Musk it’ll be 420 : 69 just to screw with everyone’s head. Works out to about 6.08 shares for every share you own. Then everyone has to scramble to get a multiple of 69 shares.

Ford to build 600k EV's/yr by end of next year and has 2nd EV truck in the works

Ford did a kind-of-cool copycat video. Wish they resisted the urge to turn it into a full blown commercial, but it’s mostly ok.

Why 2022 April $TSLA sell-off ? Answer: Elon SOLD Tesla shares to help fund Twitter buy.

Naval gazing at share price from one week to the next is a bit of a waste. On Monday, Tesla releases their proxy statement which includes all of the items up for vote on during the annual shareholders meeting. It is likely based on the board’s previous announcement there will be an item on the...

"GM says it will produce electric Chevrolet Corvettes"

To some extent I agree. Particularly in the truck market where truck designs are so stale. That said, there is also a lot of change happening out there which is happening for the sake of change. Why does the current F150 look different from the one 5 years ago? Because new buyers want a truck...
