    The real owner either: 1. left their phone on the charger in their car 2. had paired their friend Rajesh's phone as an approved driver to their car. Both are highly plausible. The rightful owner was obviously friends with Rajesh. No story here

    The volumetric density of capacitors is TERRIBLE. Unless Tesla finds enough unused space to put them (crush zones??) I don't think they'd bother with them.
