    Other Modes for FSD

Curious. In a sense we already have shotgun mode but in reverse with FSD Beta. FSD drives till the human decides things are getting too scary and takes over till the scary part is done. In essence it is also being used to teach FfSD to drive. When you first said shotgun mode though my brain...

    Tesla Nail Salon?

Tesla Time News today had a Community Mail Time segment that included the following picture. It was a contribution from someone in the community in Florida. The commentary was about the 4 EVs parked outside an AT&T store. But what caught my eye was the Tesla Nail Salon. Um... What other hustle...

    Other Modes for FSD

So Zach and Jesse have a Disruptive Investing video about the steer-by-wire patent that Tesla has. Some of the points they make have to do with FSD and ways that FSD could interact with steer-by-wire. Which got me thinking about some other scenarios that an FSD vehicle with all drive-by-wire...

? Rivian Adopts Tesla NACS Standard!

Um.... Wrong technology. I was responding to: The NACS EV connector is just the plug and associated communication related to how the electricity transfer gets loaded into the vehicle. What @SolarWizard was talking about was the actual DC fast charger that the NACS connector is wired to.

That is the potential that Ecat SKL runs on. All the "waste" potential of those around us.

? Rivian Adopts Tesla NACS Standard!

Not saying that. I'm perfectly fine with other companies trying to make an honest go of it. In fact, it would be perfectly fine if multiple other companies built out networks of chargers. As a user though, my desire would be for all the networks to be mostly usable. In the gas station model...

? Rivian Adopts Tesla NACS Standard!

Do they need to open source it? They already offered to let companies buy superchargers that they can install at their own locations. If they just start producing more and more superchargers, could they just meet the full market demand and let others install/maintain them? What if they just made...

Here we go again! (TFL on Tesla)

Back in the day, I worked at a car dealership one summer. They used to talk about how the #1 most important factor for women in buying a car was the color (and to some extent the overall looks). After that there wasn't much else they were interested in. For the male customers it was expected...

I bet Elon picks this site for the next Gigafactory

Every time I see the title of this thread I start to wonder how the Cybertruck Owners Club is going to host a Gigafactory... Now if we really wanted to see what happens in one, that would probably be the way to do it. Perhaps a metaverse Gigafactory.

Drove off in the wrong Tesla

Is this why we are working so hard to get people back to the moon? Is this just a big rescue mission to get the people off that plane?

DeLorean Alpha: Taking reservations with an interesting methodology

Oh, they do. You place in line is held on the blockchain. You are buying/selling an NFT that holds your position in line. Once the vehicle is delivered, they expect you to notify them far each subsequent sale so the NFT owner can be updated. This includes when the vehicle is “retired”.

DeLorean Alpha: Taking reservations with an interesting methodology

So it looks like the DeLorean Alpha is now available to reserve. They have the following 3 step reservation process: So basically, it costs $88 + $2,500 to get a randomized position until all the positions are gone. Then if you want a position, it costs $88 + what the market will bear to...
