Tesla has been authorized by the State of Texas to operate driverless vehicles commercially under the new law that took effect today, May 28th, 2026. Tesla has officially self-certified the software running on its robotaxis as Level 4.

There's no way that Tesla can certify the Cybercab as level 4, because everyone knows that LIDAR is required for that.

All the years of people saying that you can't do it with just cameras and poof, they are now proven wrong!
