Cybercab Production Starts Q2 2026!

Elon Musk just stated that Cybercab production will start in Q2 2026 - without a steering wheel or pedals. This was said during today's Q3 2025 earnings call.

He also said that Cybercab, Semi and Megapack 3 are all on schedule for volume production in 2026.

• Elon says he is confident in expanding Tesla’s future production after gaining clarity on the state of FSD.
• Elon confirms Cybercab production will begin in Q2 2026 will no steering wheel, or pedals.
• Optimus V3 will be unveiled in Q1 2026, Elon says it will be incredibly human-like:“It will seem like there is a person in a robot suit”
• Tesla will unveil Optimus’ new hands with V3 in Q1.
• Elon’s meetings with the Optimus team on Friday nights usually goes to midnight. Saturday afternoon meetings are with the AI5 chip design team. “Those two things are crucial for the company.”
• Elon says Tesla is building a 1 Million Unit Production line, he hopes production will start at the end of 2026. Production ramp will take some time.
• Elon expects Robotaxi to be operating in Arizona, Nevada, and Florida by the end of 2025.
• Elon says Tesla will start removing Robotaxi Safety Drivers at the end of 2025.
• Austin, TX Robotaxi Fleet has now driven over 250,000 cumulative ride-share miles.
• Bay Area Robotaxi Fleet has driven over 1 Million cumulative ride-share miles.
• Ashok confirms Tesla has achieved over 6 Billion cumulative FSD miles.
• Elon says Tesla will add “reasoning” in FSD 14.3+ at the end of the year. He says the car will use reasoning to solve things.
• Elon says Tesla will again 10x the FSD parameter count.
• Elon says AI4 will feel like a living creature, way better AI5.
• Ashok says the architecture between Public FSD Software, and Robotaxi Software is more or less the same.
• Elon says when Robotaxi enters a new market, expect a safety driver for the first three month.
• Elon says both Samsung and TSMC are working on Tesla’s next generation AI5 chip. Elon said on some metrics, AI5 will be 40x better than AI5. The chips will be made in the US.”
• Ashok says Tesla is working on a V14 “Lite” version for HW3 customers, which is expected to be released in Q2 2025. Tesla wants to solve autonomy first, then they will take care of their HW3 customers.
• Tesla’s total FSD paid customer base is still only 12% according to the CFO.
• Elon says he is 100% confident Tesla will solve Unsupervised FSD at a safety level greater than a human.
