Ron Baron: Robotaxi service could add 30-50 Billion dollars profit per year for Tesla

Tesla will have two kinds of cars in the robotaxi fleet, owner operated and Tesla owned. I believe Ron Baron was only crunching the numbers of cars owned/operated by Tesla. So Tesla gets 100% of the revenue. He was pointing out that Tesla will make much higher profits operating their cars as...

Ron Baron: Robotaxi service could add 30-50 Billion dollars profit per year for Tesla

Ron's right, this is the biggest story the financial media is missing. It's incredibly cheap to keep a Tesla on the road, especially their new robocab that is designed for the purpose. And with low fares, ride hailing is about to explode. How the financial media can be so stupid and so blind is...

San Francisco / Bay Area Robotaxi service launches! Service area dwarfs Waymo's

If the lenses and glass are clean, the FSD cameras can see into direct sun better than a human driver.

San Francisco / Bay Area Robotaxi service launches! Service area dwarfs Waymo's

Robotaxis will prioritize clean camera binnacles. A film builds up on both the camera lenses and the glass behind the binnacle cover. With clean cameras, FSD can drive directly into the sun better than I can. The thing people think are limitations (driving into the sun, dark nights, heavy...

San Francisco / Bay Area Robotaxi service launches! Service area dwarfs Waymo's

What do you think "a while" means? Months, Years? Or days or weeks?

San Francisco / Bay Area Robotaxi service launches! Service area dwarfs Waymo's

Why does that make it difficult to compare? Waymo isn't very autonomous either, with every car being supervised remotely. It's just a matter of proving to regulators they don't need human supervision. Neither of these things increases the difficulty of comparing the two.

San Francisco / Bay Area Robotaxi service launches! Service area dwarfs Waymo's

Wow! First they launch in Austin with a boner and now in SF with a big gaping pussy! I wonder what Las Vegas will be! A butthole? Boobs?

ROBOTAXI Public First Rides Launch Day! [Experiences, Reviews & Videos]

AWD is NOT significantly safer in the rain! It's really just a matter of how good your tires are in the rain.

Why is WAYMO so much better than FSD ?

Waymo is not better because its strictly geo-fenced to only operate in known areas. It also often locks up and needs help from a remote operator in really easy situations. It's what you would expect from a system that is hard coded. They took a short-cut path to autonomy that is not able to...

Who is going to Robotaxi Reveal ("Tesla We, Robot" event) on 10/10/24?

Maybe there will be more than one robotaxi bodystyle to cover the spectrum of use cases!

Who is going to Robotaxi Reveal ("Tesla We, Robot" event) on 10/10/24?

I can hardly wait to get my hands on my own Optimus robot! That will be so cool. I'll tell him to ride in the open bed of the Cybertruck and salute strangers as I drive by! :ROFLMAO:

Who is going to Robotaxi Reveal ("Tesla We, Robot" event) on 10/10/24?

Do you think they will be revealing an actual vehicle? I thought it was more about the future of autonomy than any one individual vehicle. The technology and the vision is the important part here, not some four-wheeled taxi.

Elon says TESLA shareholders re-approved his pay package!!

Well, the people who own most of the shares disagree with you. BTW, Tesla went public in 2012. But if you invested in 2011, you did even better.

Elon says TESLA shareholders re-approved his pay package!!

Anyone buying into the stock market for less than a multi-year time horizon is not an investor, they are a speculator, a gambler. Why would you invest in a company like Tesla if you only had a short-term time horizon? It looks like you have been confused into thinking Tesla is primarily a car...
