Why is Tesla in the lead in for the article. Two adults survive Tesla plunges 250 feet off California Cliff?

There is also the Hot springs hotel just outside of Union. It is still in the process of upgrades by a new owner and management. But, they have a theater, bar, and lodging... and it has been on the "Most haunted" list for quite a while being an historic sanitarium/hospital/therapeutic hot...

Why is Tesla in the lead in for the article. Two adults survive Tesla plunges 250 feet off California Cliff?

Let me know when you go. Maybe I'll come down from the Blue mountains and compare with you. I driven most of the Oregon coast down to Northern California, but only glimpsed the California coast as a kid.

Why is Tesla in the lead in for the article. Two adults survive Tesla plunges 250 feet off California Cliff?

I grew up running across it as a kid in the 70s. The northern part in Lincoln city and Newport. A different stretch but just a magnificent.

Why is Tesla in the lead in for the article. Two adults survive Tesla plunges 250 feet off California Cliff?

I just watched a report that the driver has been arrested for attempted murder. The authorities have probable cause that this was intentional. So... This is a feel good story where Tesla engineers are heroic designers of exceptionally safe cars.

Until the temperature drops to the frost point. Then, stay off the roads!! When I was there they lost their ever loving minds.

    Power plants vs batteries

My understanding is that peaker plants are the problem child of the energy production world. They are the most expensive to operate, potentially the most polluting, but the balance the grid needs for consumer variations. Battery banks are a perfect alternative for peaker plants. The batteries...

    Gas Prices

I cannot accept any "drill more" excuses when the trash fuel they pass off as diesel costs more than premium. I grew up KNOWING that diesel/stove oil/farm fuel was 1/3 the price of gasoline because it was the dregs of the refinery process that was barely fit for stationary boilers and farm...

Elon Musk Financial Times Interview (Includes some Cybertruck content)

Fair point. My understanding is the Cybertruck is supposed to be the next iteration toward full automation/fewest parts/minimal human interaction build similar to the models 3 and Y. The models S and X are still relatively hand built.

Buggrit, Across the Board Tesla Price Increases

If you can swing the financing, order the model Y, pay the fee and wait for the delivery date confirmation before you sell the Jeep. Then, use the jeep proceeds to pay down the Tesla loan instead of as a down payment. That way you can still enjoy the jeep's utility until the model Y is closer...

Buggrit, Across the Board Tesla Price Increases

With what I have experienced in maintenance costs, fuel, and just regular pain-in-the-ass'ery with my I.C.E. vehicles compared to my Model 3, I am still fully in the "take my money" mode. I reserved a dual motor CT, but if I have the opportunity and the credit, I am upgrading. I want the...

Tesla’s reverse on battery cells signals shift for electric vehicles

I am not sure where this article is going? Honestly, I struggled with the grammar. Yes, Lithium Iron Phosphate is an older technology. However, it hasn't been available due to patent concerns. Until, as the article states, this year when the patent expires. The chemistry, especially if...

Trailer towing Rivian test, range and regen resulting in Rockies

I understood your point initially. My opinion is tangential to yours, not opposite. Rivian is a poor example of a truck. It was designed as a toy with a bed. The real world examples of EV trucks are still only speculative. Until we see Tesla's Cybertruck and Semi tractor in real world...

Trailer towing Rivian test, range and regen resulting in Rockies

Fools? I'm curious how you consider using electric to tow/move material is a fools errand? I understand that heavier payloads, whether towed or as cargo, diminishes range on both ICE and EV. Also, I certainly understand that even Tesla will need to increase the charging network locations in...

Rumors Growing Over Something Coming on 12/9 (Elon/ Numerology/ Split Rumor)

This whole billionaire/tax issue is a shell game. It bothers me that people oscillate between percentage and absolute to support the FUD. It aggravates me that Mr. Musk is the focus of "pay yer taxes b**ch!" but the other billionaires (I'm looking at you J.B./Doktor Evil) haven't been...

LK Machinery 9000 Ton press - Which Acquired IDRA in 2008

Yeah, i thought it was Idra. Maybe, since this is a Chinese company, it is for their market. I understand that Tesla is the only foreign company that China has allowed to own their operation outright. All the others are in partnerships with Chinese companies.
