FSD price increases to $15k September 5th

The following screenshot is from SAE.org, the organization that defines the levels: Everyone seems to make up their own definition of the levels, but if you look at how Level 4 is defined, it describes the taxi systems currently in use as Level 4. If a vehicle can drive itself without a...

    How to ditch telemarketers

While I’m at work mom will cold call me to tell me about her trip to Walmart. But when she took dad to the emergency room becasue he wasn’t feeling well, that she sends in a text. I use that one at Sam’s Club when they have gutter or siding salespersons setup in the store. Even works for...

The real problem with EVs: They're not LOUD

I lived in an old residential neighborhood of an urban city. Small lots, houses very close to each other. Garage access via alley. It was on a main street and my bedroom was on the street side. Because it was a main street there were Harley's all summer long, (Wisconsin) and in the winter...

FSD price increases to $15k September 5th

Was there a time when FSD was $6k for CT? I thought it debuted at $7k. Ok, once true FSD is a thing, I'm picturing falling asleep in the car after leaving a Mexican restaurant and waking up at 3am in my driveway. Wonder if there'll be a destination wake up setting. :) When I'm in the car...

Some Interesting Charging Options added to Tesla App and Wall Connector

Thanks for that. I was under the impression it only told you like the miles gained. Not actual kWh

Some Interesting Charging Options added to Tesla App and Wall Connector

I asked in a previous thread eons ago if the car would tell me how many kWh I charged. My question was so when I visit my parents I can figure out how much I own them in electricity. So I could try to pay them, the'd refuse, I'd hide the money in their house. They'd find it and hide it in my...

    Right to repair; Sustainable prioritisation

If I have the right to repair the tires on my Ford (I do), and I get a hole in the sidewall of the tire, and I'm not smart enough to know that you don't repair damaged tire sidewalls and so I patch the sidewall hole and put the tire back on my car. My tire then blows out while doing 70MPH on a...

Some Interesting Charging Options added to Tesla App and Wall Connector

iPhone 13 Pro Max has a reported battery size of 16.75Wh. Assuming 250kW supercharger, and I did the math right, it would take 4.02ms. That doesn't account for tapering, so Ogre's 2 second guestimate is probably closer to real-world results.

    Right to repair; Sustainable prioritisation

It was a great tool in the beginning. If I Ignored someone, and someone replied to a post i was ignoring, it use to tell me "This post is replying to someone you are ignoring. Click here to see the ignored post". At some point that function disappeared and without knowing a reply was to...

Self-driving cars from GM’s Cruise block San Francisco intersection in latest problem for autonomous vehicles

Anyone find it a bit eerie that they sought out their peers and grouped together? Like many animals do? Is this a sign of sentience? Now that we are onto them, will they be more secretive in their meetings? "Oh look, a bunch of Cruise vehicles went down a dead end street and got stuck there...

Munro Associates are selling 4680 Cells after battery pack teardown and analysis - FYI

To @John K ’s point. The company I work for will not allow you to buy the laptop you’ve been using when the company says it’s time to replace it. I believe itā€˜s part of their commitment to the environment (if not a legal requirement). Selling or even giving computer/electronic equipment away...

Munro Associates are selling 4680 Cells after battery pack teardown and analysis - FYI

I bought a laminate from the Model S Plaid motor for $100 from Munro. I am not an art fan, but I find beauty in the laminate. To me, it’s a $100 Picasso.
